Salim is the Chief Executive Officer of the Technical Systems Testing (TST) group of companies. He is responsible for driving the performance of the company's global spread of testing facilities.
Salim joined TST in January 2001 as a Marketing and Business Support Consultant, and spent his first six months in Australia at TST's Melbourne and Sydney offices. There he received a thorough induction program in TST's testing and client support methodologies conducted by TST's consultants and management.
Upon Salim's return to the Vancouver office, he was promoted to Marketing & Client Support Manager for North America, working with clients to meet each of their individual and unique needs. In April 2004 he was promoted to General Manager for North America and Europe and was subsequently appointed as Chief Operating Officer in September 2006.
Salim was appointed as CEO in March 2008, succeeding John Cargnello, founder and former CEO of TST since its inception in 1993.
Salim is proficient with International Standards Organization (ISO) quality management systems. He also reinforces TST's team with his valuable knowledge in expanding markets, client relations and support, change management, and management of small to large mission critical projects. Salim has spoken at engagements in Canada, Asia and the US and been interviewed by publications serving these regions.
Previous to TST, Salim spent approximately five years in the banking and financial sectors in North America.
Salim holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a Minor in Psychology from Simon Fraser University (Vancouver). Additionally, Salim holds a Diploma of Business Administration from Douglas College (Vancouver). Salim also has professional experience with expert witness research and support and has received additional formal training in fundamentals of personnel law.
